About the choir

Let us introduce ourselves

Our History

The choir began in 2005 and has grown since then. Our aim is to offer holiday makers and local people concerts that span a wide range of genres, sung to pre-recorded backing tracks featuring full orchestral quality.

Most of the choir members are soloists and many have spent years in local operatic societies so the standard is high. With more than 20 voices, the four-part harmony choir continues to entertain and receives a great reception every year. In 2023 nearly 2,000 attended one or more of our concerts

How it all came to be

Our Director

Our musical director, Chris Atherton, chooses the music, produces the orchestrated backing tracks and trains the choir in weekly rehearsals.
